Aston Villa and PSG Compete for United Star
Marcus Rashford, currently on loan at Aston Villa from Manchester United
Atletico won the second leg 1-0, leveling the aggregate score at 2-2, but lost 4-2 on penalties.
United ready to offload Rashford
At 27 years old, Rashford remains one of England’s most recognisable attacking talents.
However, due to disciplinary issues and inconsistent performances, Manchester United seem prepared to part ways with the forward permanently.
After struggling to rediscover his past form, Rashford was loaned to Aston Villa during the winter transfer window, where he is expected to stay until the end of the current campaign.

Aston Villa keen to make deal permanent
Despite his unconvincing form, Aston Villa’s leadership is eager to secure Rashford on a permanent deal.
The club sees value in the striker’s experience and potential, especially under Unai Emery’s guidance.
Rashford’s current market value is estimated at €50 millions, according to Transfermarkt.
PSG enter the race
Villa may not have a clear path to his signature.
French champions PSG have reportedly joined the race, aiming to bring Rashford to the Parc des Princes.
With Kylian Mbappé likely to leave in the summer, the Parisian side are seeking a dynamic attacker to fill the void, and Rashford is now firmly on their radar.
Amorim’s decision explained
Ruben Amorim, United’s current manager, was candid about why Rashford was loaned out:
“I couldn’t make him understand how I wanted him to play or train. Some players work well with a certain coach, and with others, they struggle. I hope he finds his rhythm again at Villa.”
