Mourinho’s Future in Doubt as Fenerbahce
Fenerbahce Consider Sacking the Special One
Rumours suggest he is on the shortlist for the Brazil national team
Jose Mourinho is once again making headlines – but not for his tactics.
The 62-year-old Fenerbahce boss is reportedly at risk of losing his job following a heated altercation with Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk, which could result in a suspension of up to 10 matches.
According to as.com, the club’s executives are growing concerned that Mourinho’s controversial behaviour is damaging Fenerbahce’s image.
Disciplinary Trouble and Possible Exit
The incident in question involved Mourinho grabbing his counterpart by the nose, an action that was described as an “attack” in the match report.
The Turkish Football Federation is currently reviewing the case under Article 44 of its Disciplinary Code.
If found guilty, Mourinho could face a ban ranging from five to ten games.
Despite the controversy, Mourinho remains a hot property.
Rumours suggest he is on the shortlist for the Brazil national team job, should he part ways with Fenerbahce.
His departure would not go unnoticed — nor unpaid.

Fenerbahce Responds to Incident
Club president Ali Koç has released a statement defending Mourinho’s actions, claiming the Galatasaray coach exaggerated the situation:
“Our coach grabbed the opponent’s nose after being provoked. That individual dramatically fell to the ground, as if shot. Their exaggerated reaction is caught on camera. The public knows these antics all too well.”
The decision now lies with Fenerbahce’s hierarchy — keep Mourinho and endure the backlash, or cut ties and pay the price.
